Michael Keith's business experience began in 1988 during the establishment of Keith & McCrea, a scrap yard in Fenelton, PA.
In 1994, Michael became the sole owner incorporating and renaming the company Scrap Salvage & Surplus, Inc. |

In February 2004, the business relocated to Butler, PA which provided convenient access to U.S. State Routes 8, 38, 68 & 422; and interstate highways 79 & 80.
The new location is serviced by the Canadian National Railroad, formerly known as the Bessemer &Lake Erie and is equipped with 1800' rail sidings for convenient loading, repairs, cleanout or dismantle.
Utilizing innovative technology to engineer, design and construct a mobile unit, the processing unit/bag house was erected in September 2005. The Department of Environment Protection (DEP) approved a permit for heavy torching in December 2005.
The innovative environmental safe technology was awarded two U.S. Patents # 7,407,621 & # 7,670,441. |
